John Kaay is an underwater photographer based on the West Coast of British Columbia.  He strives to capture the hidden aesthetics of the ocean. His work leans into the abstract—where swirls of kelp, shafts of light, and array of life transform into compositions that can blur the line between reality and dream. Diving for him is a pursuit of color, texture and emotion.  As such each print is an opportunity to share in that experience. That connection and discovery is what keeps him returning to the sea.
